Baby Bald Mickey

The Juegaterapia Foundation was born in the spring of 2010. Mónica Esteban, its founder, gave a Play Station to a child who was receiving chemotherapy treatment in the hospital and was immediately able to see how the little boy perked up and faced his illness with a smile. Since then, every day we receive consoles from companies and individuals, tablets and video games and we donate them to the pediatric areas of different hospitals. Each team has a label with the donor's information so that the child who receives it can send a message with a huge Thank you! We have great helpers and partners who make our lives much easier, such as ENVIALIA, which offers us the possibility of bringing consoles and games to our warehouse for free from anywhere in Spain. At Juegaterapia we know that hospital rooftops, those gray and unused spaces, can become beautiful spaces to play. That is why we have built a Garden on the roof of the La Paz Hospital, another at the 12 de Octubre Hospital, a third at the La Fe Hospital in Valencia, a fourth at the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid and we raised funds to build the fifth in the Maternal and Child Hospital of Malaga. Then we will go up to another roof. And to another. Until all admitted children can play, in front of a screen or under the sun's rays.

Since we started visiting hospitals and donating consoles, we have been able to see daily the benefits that gaming has on hospitalized children. Being away from home, away from their loved ones and in an unfamiliar environment, the hospital experience is often intimidating.


At that moment, video games, the tablet and the possibility of enjoying a garden inside the hospi, of having a positive environment rich in stimuli, become a fundamental means to connect them with the world and make them forget where they are. , at least for the duration of the game.

With all the solidarity of the playful-therapeutic spirit and a spark of Disney magic, Baby Bald Mickey is born. With his new gala dress, he arrives ready to be an important part of the most beautiful collection in the world and fill children's hospitals with pure happiness. He will gradually replace the current Baby Pelón Disney, with whom he shares a face and scarf. Thank you all for bringing him fully into the family!
